Wow! That is beautiful! I love that George was so intrigued by different cultures. Truely a worldly man!

I usually check this magazine out from the library, but after seeing your post about it, I went to the book store today and bought it! Thanks!

I picked up the magazine and when you look at the other "exotic" homes featured in it, you realize (again) how artistic George truly was. The house emanates great warmth and intimacy without a speck of conspicuous consumption like the others do. Since it seems so unlikely that Olivia would open up such a private haven, I wondered if she is considering selling it. I think it might be hard to enjoy it without George there.

WOW. That is something, everything looks very organic and tactile. I'm wondering how much Olivia contributed to the decor: I'll bet it's more than she is saying, she doesn't seem to toot her own horn very much. I notice in much of the colors and some fabrics a definite Mexican influence.
The last line was very poignant. I know that Olivia must miss George dreadfully (we all miss him and we don't even know him personally!) yet she always speaks about him as though he is on a journey. Which, I guess, he is; but still.....
I'll bet she won't sell it....she probably would keep it for Dhani, even if she never went there because she would miss George too much. But then again, she might go there because George would be in every square inch of that place, in the rocks and woods and textiles and water.....

Dear Olivia,
I'm in need of a bit of George magic, and I was just wondering if you might be kind enough to let myself and Laura stay at your beautiful Hamilton Island home for a few days? It would be a dream come true, :D .
Yours sincerely from Sarah who sends you love from the Mystical One.
