THE ULTIMATE LENNON/McCARTNEY SONG - Round 1, Day 15

Postby Erchie on Thu Jul 27, 2006 2:20 pm

In the series we are trying to find out the most favourite Lennon/McCartney song of georgeharrison.com. Compeating we have all 180 songs that are credited as "Lennon/McCartney" (or McCartney/Lennon) and released officially in some form, not necessary by The Beatles. On the first round we have always 4 song compeating against each other and two of them with most votes will go through. However, if there is a 3-way or even 4-way tie in the first place, all of them go through. If there is a tie in the second place, only the #1 goes through. The polls will be open for four days.

Have fun and please tell what you voted and why. :D

Yes, Hey Bulldog for me too. It's a great track that really rocks along. I love to hear this song played live by Tribute bands :-)

I also like P.S. I Love You very much, but I'm not overly keen on Don't let Me Down.
The Long And Winding Road is a great song but I sometimes have to be in the right mood to really appreciate it.

Tough, I voted 'Don't Let Me Down' but could have voted for the bulldog too.

I went with Hey, Bull Dog, too. I think it's a rather unique and quirky spot in the catalog, and I love it's edge. I'm not overly keen on Don't Let Me Down, either. I guess my feelings on the other two are also similar to yours, DSL.

I went with Don't Let Me Down. My friends and I jam to this one occasionally. I also like Hey Bulldog but I picked one with a sentiment.

Much as I like the other songs, I had to go with P.S. I Love You, which is a favorite song of mine. Hey Bulldog would have been my 2nd choice.

"Hey Bulldog," closely followed by "Don't Let Me Down." 8)
